BANGKOK, 28 July 2015 – The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is promoting the development of multi-purpose farmland to boost farm productivity.

Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives Chawalit Chukajorn revealed during a meeting on the multi-purpose farmland development that 263 plots of land have been chosen to undergo transformation.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative is planning to produce 28 types of farm goods under this project. Livestock and crop farming as well as aquaculture are expected to be carried out within the same compound.

A seminar will be held in mid-August by the Office of Agricultural Economics to train 252 farmers, who will learn how to increase the productivity of their farm and to manage their farmland.
