BANGKOK, Thailand – The Disaster Relief Center of the 16th Military Circle has conducted an inspection at the Rama 2 Road construction site following the recent collapse of a launcher beam. The visit was led by Maj Gen Surawit Daengchan, Director of the Center, in coordination with officials from the First Army Area, Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) Sa Kaeo, local police, and project engineers. The team assessed the site and reviewed the ongoing efforts to remove debris and restore the area.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse while examining potential damage to the road structure and surrounding infrastructure. If damage is confirmed, repair work will be carried out without delay. The investigation is being conducted jointly across agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the affected section of Rama 2 Road and use alternative routes while recovery operations are underway. Initial estimates suggest that the repair process will take approximately one week, with the goal of returning traffic to normal conditions as soon as possible. (NNT)
