PHAYAO, 1 July 2015 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)’s Roving Buakaew program was conducted yesterday in the northern province of Phayao.

During the visit, the participating MFA officials gave talks on various topics, such as Thailand’s application to be a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, the economic connectivity in the ASEAN region and the diplomatic protocol.

The visit aimed to allow MFA officials to exchange opinions with all sectors in the province.

The “Roving Buakaew” Program is an MFA campaign designed to inform residents in provincial areas of the ministry’s accomplishments and roles while preparing the public for the advent of the ASEAN Economic Community at the end of this year. The program is a joint effort by five major departments under the MFA, namely the departments of Information, International Organizations, International Economic Affairs, Protocol, and Asean Affairs.
