BANGKOK, Thailand – The Geohazard Operations Center has reported that a magnitude 7.4 undersea earthquake occurred off the coast of Indonesia this morning (Apr 2), with no impact on Thailand.

The quake struck at a depth of 35 kilometers, with its epicenter located about 126 kilometers west-northwest of Ternate City. A tsunami warning was issued based on assessments by the Thai Meteorological Department and the United States Geological Survey.
