Indian ambassador meets NCPO leader


BANGKOK, July 21 — Indian Ambassador to Thailand Harsh Vardhan Shringla has met Thai Army Commander-in-Chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha, Chief of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), for talks on cooperation in all aspects.

Ambassador Shringla paid a courtesy call on the Thai military council leader at Royal Thai Army headquarters this morning, congratulating him on the his new position, as well discussing bilateral cooperation on national security, economy and sociology.

Also this morning, NCPO Secretary-General Gen Udomdej Sitabutr chaired a meeting at the Army Operations Centre to follow up on the operations of each sector.

Security has been beefed at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters so that no protests could be carried out at the location.
