HRH Princess Sirindhorn opens exhibition to mark Thai Heritage Conservation Day.

Bangkok – Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn attended the Throne Hall at the Bangkok National Museum on Thursday to preside over the opening ceremony of an exhibition to mark the Thai Heritage Conservation Day. The exhibition is being held on the theme “The Thai City in the Land of Suvarnabhumi”.

The event is being organized by the Department of Fine Arts to promote Thai history and stories of the Thai people from the past to the present. The exhibitions in 2017 and 2018 focused on the first people living in the country and the city’s origin. This year it features the history of the kingdom and the people of Thai-Lao origin before and after the Buddhist Era. More than 200 antiques and artifacts are on display.

People can visit the exhibition until October 25, 2019, from 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays as well as national holidays.
