Higher Education Minister Supamas joins global talk on EdTech equity

Minister Supamas highlighted Thailand’s focus on flexible and accessible education systems, driven by initiatives like the “AI for Education” policy and the “Artificial Intelligence University” project.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, participated in the Education World Forum (EWF) 2025 held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, United Kingdom.

She joined a panel discussion with education ministers and senior executives from several countries on the theme “Technology’s Role in Education: Improving Equity and Quality.” Panelists included Anderson Adlercreutz from Finland, Saysat Nurbek from Kazakhstan, and Ian Pratt from Hewlett Packard (HP). The session was moderated by Gavin Dykes, EWF Programme Chair.



Minister Supamas highlighted Thailand’s focus on flexible and accessible education systems, driven by initiatives like the “AI for Education” policy and the “Artificial Intelligence University” project. These are part of the national strategy to transition into Education 6.0. She emphasized Thailand’s efforts to create a lifelong learning ecosystem using AI and digital platforms. The goal is to provide equitable and personalized learning for both urban and rural populations.


The Higher Education Ministry has also introduced multiple measures to strengthen education. These include the National Credit Bank for lifelong credit transfers, the Education Sandbox model to support local economic development, and the Skill Future Thailand platform offering modular and adaptive learning.

Minister Supamas concluded by affirming Thailand’s commitment to building an inclusive, ethical, and future-ready education system for all learners. (NNT)
