BANGKOK, July 2015 – The “Healthy City, Community Way of Life Fair” held at Klong Phadung Krung Kasem Canal remained crowded with visitors buying a wide range of health products.
Highlights of this week were herbal products for beauty. Numerous beauty salons put up booths to demonstrate their products and provide such service as facial spa, facial treatment with herbal ball, belly burning, and even such healthy menus as mixed-mushroom spicy salad for men and cowslip creeper salad for women.
The Department of Health demonstrated many forms of exercises such as Thai hermit exercise, weight-lifting, rhythm dance for weight control. A hundred of visitors were given free bamboo baskets of medicines as a reward for getting diphtheria and tetanus vaccinations.
According to the Department of Thai Traditional and Complementary Medicine, there were almost 100,000 visitors to the event during the past sixteen days from 7-22 July, bringing over fifteen million baht to sellers. Herbal products with high demand were Wiping Spray containing Pomelo Peel Oil, skincare, soaps, cream and cosmetics made from herbs, especially turmeric and Blue Pea Flowers (Anchan), anti-aging foods as well as herbal drinks such as ginseng coffee mixed with ten herbs.
Most visitors agreed that the event gave them a good access to high quality products and simultaneously useful information on health care.
