BANGKOK, Thailand – Hallmark Channel, the globally renowned US media giant, is set to begin its first-ever production in Thailand. Executive Producer David Boyles recently met with representatives from the Thailand Film Office to discuss filming plans, marking a significant expansion beyond Hallmark’s traditional production bases in the US and Canada, following a recent project in Bali, Indonesia.
Hallmark’s plans for Thailand include two major projects:
∙ A romantic-adventure film designed to showcase Thailand’s tourism appeal to North American audiences.
∙ A potential long-form series, supported by the Thailand Film Office’s production incentives and location guidance.
Boyles expressed strong confidence in Thailand’s production readiness, the quality of its local film talent, and the level of government support offered, confirming plans to bring his production team to Thailand by late 2026 to begin filming the first project. This landmark investment reflects growing global confidence in Thailand as a filming destination, boosting the local economy while introducing the country’s culture and charm to millions of households worldwide.
