Police arrest 35-year-old French national David outside a Bangkok hotel for allegedly stealing valuables at Don Mueang Airport, with CCTV footage providing key evidence.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Officers at Don Mueang Police Station have arrested 35-year-old French national David for theft at Don Mueang Airport, based on evidence captured on CCTV.

Investigators revealed that David posed as a passenger carrying a backpack while moving through various areas of the airport. When he noticed unattended belongings, he would place his own bag nearby and seize the opportunity to steal valuables or bags before leaving the scene via the airport rail link. Stolen items were reportedly sold at second-hand shops, and the proceeds converted to euros and deposited into his personal accounts.


David was apprehended outside a hotel on Sukhumvit 97, Phra Khanong District, Bangkok. While he initially admitted to being the suspect in the arrest warrant, he denied involvement during the apprehension process.

Authorities continue investigating to track additional stolen property and determine if there are other victims. (TNA)
