EXAT will waive tolls for 24 hours on the Chalerm Maha Nakhon, Si Rat, and Udon Ratthaya expressways to ease travel and reduce holiday congestion.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has announced a one-day toll exemption on three major expressways in observance of National Father’s Day on December 5. The holiday, which celebrates the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, is recognized as a national public holiday.

The toll-free routes include the Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway, with 21 toll plazas; the Si Rat Expressway, with 32 toll plazas; and the Udon Ratthaya Expressway, covering 10 toll plazas between Bang Pa-in and Pak Kret. The waiver will be in effect from 12:01 a.m. until midnight on December 5, 2025.

The measure is expected to help ease travel during the public holiday, lower motorists’ transportation costs, and reduce traffic congestion at toll collection points throughout the day. (NNT)
