EU private sector ready to cooperate with Thailand, says PM

In a press conference after returning from the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit on the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-EU dialogue partnership in Brussels, Gen Prayut said the summit was successfully organized and he met leaders of 27 European Union member states.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha returned from the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit and said he happily learned there that many regions were interested in Thailand.

In a press conference after returning from the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit on the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-EU dialogue partnership in Brussels, Gen Prayut said the summit was successfully organized and he met leaders of 27 European Union member states. He said he also met representatives of the private sector of EU and they were ready to cooperate with Thailand.



He said he discussed problems and obstacles and that the implementation of new business initiatives required changes and negotiation on the exchange of benefits.

Gen Prayut said he had bilateral discussions with many EU executives and they were interested in Thailand. Many regions paid special attention to ASEAN because it had readiness and peace, the prime minister said.

During the trip, Gen Prayut said, he emphasized Thailand’s focus on sustainable economic development. (TNA)
