BANGKOK, Thailand – The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is promoting business events as a driver of economic growth in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), covering Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao. Under the “EEC MICE Gateway to Growth” concept, TCEB is connecting businesses, event organizers, and local operators to expand commercial opportunities and investment across the region.
Through its Central and Eastern Region Office, TCEB has introduced the “EEC MICE Growth Industry Route,” combining corporate meetings and activities with industrial visits across five target sectors: medical and health, digital, modern automotive, Bio-Circular-Green (BCG), and services. Participants can exchange knowledge with regional specialists, observe advanced technologies, and participate in corporate social responsibility and environmental activities, while developing workforce capabilities and business connections.
TCEB reported that MICE events in the EEC generated 1.372 billion baht in economic impact during the period cited in its information. The bureau linked these activities with government policies supporting future industries, greater integration of local supply chains, and technology transfer.
TCEB also organized a Media FAM Trip for journalists to visit the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), CPRAM Company Limited, the GC Chemical Experience Museum by PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, and Thai Eastern Group Holdings Public Company Limited.
