BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Livestock Development (DLD) has deployed personnel to assist livestock owners impacted by the Thai–Cambodian border conflict. Under the direction of Director-General Dr. Somchuan Ratanamankalanon, emergency supplies have been delivered to affected areas in Sisaket, Buriram, Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, and Sa Kaeo provinces.

Relief supplies include 8,000 kilograms of dog and cat food, 1,000 kilograms of cattle feed, and 50 animal cages. These efforts are part of the DLD’s Emergency Response Plan for Livestock Incidents, which supports animal owners during emergencies while helping to reduce disruptions to daily care and farm operations.

The department continues to monitor the situation and adjust its response based on local conditions. Distribution efforts are being coordinated to ensure timely support, with additional resources on standby if needed.

Livestock owners seeking assistance can contact their District or Provincial Livestock Office or submit a request through the DLD 4.0 mobile application, available 24 hours a day. The DLD also recognized the support of private-sector partners who have contributed to ongoing relief efforts. (NNT)
