Under the theme “Local Plus: Creativity, Technology, Sustainability,” the festival aims to strengthen the local economy while addressing social and environmental challenges through creative solutions.

Highlights include:

  • An exhibition by leading Thai perfumers who transform local resources and agricultural surplus into fragrances, reducing environmental impact while generating added value for farmers;
  • A showcase by a food sustainability network, exploring the potential of local ingredients and their role in advancing the food industry;
  • A music festival featuring both Northern Thai and international performers;
  • A creative marketplace presenting sustainable products and services;
  • A wide range of workshops and contemporary art performances.

Chiang Mai Design Week also partners with international organizations to present pavilions showcasing designers and artists from Taiwan, Austria, Uzbekistan, Japan, and other countries.
