CHIANG MAI, Thailand – Heavy rainfall since yesterday (Aug 31) has caused flash floods in Mae Rim district, Chiang Mai province, prompting Doi Suthep-Pui National Park to temporarily close Tat Mok and Mae Sa Waterfalls and deploy rangers to assist affected residents.

Doi Suthep-Pui National Park Protection Units have been dispatched to support communities in four different villages, all within Mae Raem subdistrict. Officials are currently assessing damage and providing aid to those impacted by the floods.
