Police and local authorities inspect fire safety systems, emergency exits and evacuation routes at Rong Lao Sang Chan following the deadly Bangkok beer hall fire that killed more than 30 people.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Police from Wang Thonglang Police Station, together with district officials and emergency response agencies, have stepped up fire safety inspections at entertainment venues following the deadly beer hall blaze in Bangkok that claimed more than 30 lives. The latest inspection took place on July 14 at Rong Lao Sang Chan (Ekamai–Ram Intra), where officers conducted a comprehensive review of fire prevention measures to reduce the risk of another tragedy.

The operation followed the devastating fire at a popular beer hall near Lat Phrao Soi 1 on July 12, where rapidly spreading flames, toxic smoke from interior materials and limited escape routes resulted in more than 30 fatalities and numerous injuries. During the inspection, officials examined fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, emergency exit signage and evacuation routes, ensuring that exits remained unobstructed and safety equipment was fully operational. Authorities also urged venue operators to comply strictly with fire safety regulations, conduct regular inspections of emergency systems and maintain clear evacuation routes to better protect customers and staff in the event of an emergency.
