
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Bangkok Air Quality Information Center reported that PM2.5 levels across several areas of Bangkok remained at the orange level on the morning of January 17, 2026. The three districts with the highest PM2.5 concentrations were Chatuchak at 64 micrograms per cubic meter, Lat Krabang at 61.9, and Bueng Kum at 53.
Authorities advised the public to take precautions and encouraged residents to use PM2.5 masks outdoors, limit outdoor activities or strenuous exercise, and watch for abnormal symptoms.
Officials stated that symptoms to watch for include coughing, difficulty breathing, and eye irritation. Those with more severe symptoms should seek medical attention immediately. (NNT)
