BANGKOK, 30 July 2014 –The Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA) is set to officially launch its latest 4.5 km biking routes at Makhamtes Lake and Sakaengam Samduen Lake on the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday, August 12th, according to the BMA’s permanent secretary Ninnart Chalitanon To address floods in Klong Sam Wa and Nongchok areas, two lakes were built to reserve about 180,000 cubic meters of water which could then be released into public canals. The landscaping of the two lakes is now improved to include new parks and biking routes. In addition to the new routes, bathing rooms, restrooms and an administration office have been built and big trees planted. Moreover, the route is also designed for mountain bike riding.
