AUCKLAND, New Zealand – Prime Minister Anuthin Charnvirakul sat down with two of New Zealand’s biggest names, Skyline Enterprises (tourism & attractions) and T&G Global (the global fruit powerhouse behind the Envy™ apple brand), to explore fresh investment and business opportunities between the two countries.
- With Skyline Enterprises, the Premier pitched Thailand’s edge: diverse tourist destinations, massive visitor numbers, and huge potential for new-style attractions and experiences. The company showed real interest, especially in tapping into Thailand’s family travel market.
- With T&G Global, the conversation centered on Thailand as a potential distribution hub for the ASEAN and Indian markets. The Premier highlighted Thailand’s prime location, strong logistics network, and status as a major global agri-food producer, plus opportunities to help open up European markets for premium Thai fruit.
The Prime Minister has tasked Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) with following up closely on both discussions, turning private-sector interest into concrete investment and partnership projects — boosting economic activity, creating opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs, and reinforcing Thailand’s role as a regional business and connectivity hub.
From mountains to markets, Thailand is open for business! (PRD)
