Aid effort underway for residents of collapsed Din Daeng flats

Bangkok – The Prime Minister has urged authorities to assist persons affected from the collapse of a section of Din Daeng apartments and ordered an investigation into the cause to prevent repetition in the future.

Military officers from Din Daeng District peace and order unit and officials from the National Housing Authority have started the inspection of collapsed building to process the removal.

Officials will be working with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Din Daeng district volunteers unit to assist affected persons. The volunteers will be working with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Din Daeng police station, and Din Daeng district office to remove crushed vehicles, damaged electricity poles, and the rubble.

The Prime Minister has expressed his concerns for the general public, reassuring affected persons that they will receive compensation according to the regulations, while related agencies will investigate to find the cause to prevent similar accidents occurring in the future.
