BANGKOK, Thailand – A 21-year-old man was found dead after falling from a condominium in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district early Monday morning, with police investigating the circumstances. Police at Hua Mak Police Station were alerted at 5:51 a.m. on September 28 and went to the eight-storey condominium with forensic officers, a forensic doctor and rescue personnel.
The man, identified only as “A” in reports, was found dead outside the building. Police later examined the seventh-floor room where he had been staying with his 21-year-old girlfriend. Initial checks found no signs of a struggle or forced entry inside the room. Police are continuing their investigation and will await a detailed forensic examination to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
The girlfriend told police that the couple had been together at the room during the night and had taken photographs together shortly after midnight. She later went to sleep and discovered the tragedy in the morning. She also told investigators that the man had been receiving long-term treatment for a mental health condition. Relatives reportedly did not raise objections over the circumstances of the death. His body was sent to the Police General Hospital’s forensic institute for further examination.
