PATTAYA, Thailand – There is something reassuring about returning to a place that consistently delivers, yet still manages to surprise. That was exactly our experience when our group was invited back to Thai Garden Resort Pattaya to sample its revamped Saturday All-You-Can-Eat À La Carte Dinner Night on July 18.

Having enjoyed previous editions, we were curious to see what had changed. The answer became obvious almost immediately. The menu has been refreshed, the portions are noticeably more generous, and the service has reached another level. Orders arrived promptly despite every guest selecting different dishes, with the attentive staff serving each course with remarkable precision and efficiency.

Our lively dining group perfectly reflected Pattaya’s cosmopolitan spirit, with three men and three women representing five continents. Instead of choosing the same dishes, each of us selected a different starter to sample a wider variety of flavours before moving on to other menu choices. We took our time and paced ourselves, knowing the tempting main courses were still waiting to be enjoyed.

The appetisers provided an impressive start. The Fresh Tuna Salad with Sesame was light and refreshing, while the perfectly seared scallops with green pea purée demonstrated the kitchen’s attention to detail. The vibrant Prawn and Pomelo Salad balanced sweet and citrus flavours beautifully, and the Spicy Grilled Chicken Breast Salad offered just the right touch of Thai spice.

Guests savour a selection of freshly cooked main courses, including Sauerbraten with Red Cabbage (pictured), Breaded Seabass Fillet, Spaghetti Seafood Napoleon, Sliced Pork Zurich Style, and Braised Duck with Chinese Herbs.

The soups were equally memorable. The rich, velvety Lobster Bisque with whipped cream proved wonderfully indulgent, while the aromatic Chicken Galangal Soup (Tom Kha Gai) delivered the comforting flavours that have made Thai cuisine famous worldwide.

Resisting the temptation to overindulge too early paid dividends when the main courses arrived. The Spaghetti Seafood Napoleon featured generous portions of fresh seafood, while the Sliced Pork Zurich Style with Potato Rösti brought authentic European comfort food to the table. The Breaded Seabass Fillet with barley, lentils and mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked, and the classic Sauerbraten with red cabbage and mashed potatoes was rich, tender and full of traditional German flavour. Another standout was the Braised Duck with Chinese Herbs served with herbal rice, combining delicate aromas with succulent meat that fell effortlessly from the bone.

Live performers Coco Zhu & Jericho entertain diners throughout the evening, adding a warm and relaxing atmosphere to Thai Garden Resort’s Saturday dinner experience.

Although unlimited servings were available throughout the evening, the generous portion sizes meant few diners needed many repeat orders. Quality clearly takes precedence over quantity, making the all-you-can-eat concept feel far more refined than a traditional buffet.

No dinner would be complete without dessert, and the sweet finale certainly did not disappoint. We sampled the creamy Blueberry Cheesecake, elegant Roasted Pears with White Chocolate Zabaglione, refreshing Strawberry Sherbet, rich Chocolate Ice Cream, and a colourful selection of Tropical Fresh Fruit, providing the perfect conclusion to an excellent meal.

Red and white wines, specially priced at 990 baht per bottle, perfectly complement the unlimited à la carte menu and add to the evening’s enjoyment.

Adding to the evening’s enjoyment was an attractive wine promotion, with both red and white wines available for just 990 baht per bottle. We began with the crisp white before moving on to a couple of bottles of the smooth red, both pairing wonderfully with the varied menu.

Throughout the evening, the live performances by Coco Zhu & Jericho created an inviting atmosphere, blending contemporary favourites with easy-listening classics that complemented rather than overwhelmed conversation. Their polished performance added another dimension to an already memorable evening.

Set amid its lush tropical gardens, Thai Garden Resort has long enjoyed a reputation for warm hospitality and relaxed elegance. The resort, recognised with the Booking.com Traveller Review Award 2026 and an impressive guest rating of 8.8 out of 10, continues to demonstrate why it remains one of Pattaya’s favourite destinations for both visitors and local residents seeking quality dining in tranquil surroundings.

At 690 baht per adult and 350 baht for children, the Saturday À La Carte Dinner Night represents exceptional value. Unlike a buffet, every dish is freshly prepared to order and served directly to the table, ensuring each plate arrives at its best.

A tempting selection of desserts, including Blueberry Cheesecake, (pictured) Roasted Pears with White Chocolate Zabaglione, Strawberry Sherbet, Chocolate Ice Cream, and Tropical Fresh Fruit, provides a sweet finale to an unforgettable dining experience.

Whether for a romantic dinner, a family celebration or simply an enjoyable evening with friends, Thai Garden Resort has created a dining experience that combines excellent cuisine, attentive service, live entertainment and outstanding value. Judging by our group’s unanimous verdict, this is one Saturday evening tradition that deserves to become a regular fixture on Pattaya’s culinary calendar.
