Ruud van Nistelrooy poised to lead Leicester City, aiming to steer the Foxes out of relegation trouble.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is reportedly on the brink of becoming the new manager of Leicester City, following his departure from Manchester United.

The Dutchman left his role at United after Ruben Amorim’s appointment as head coach, which led to a complete overhaul of the existing staff.

Leicester City, currently 16th in the Premier League and just one point above the relegation zone, recently sacked Steve Cooper after a disappointing tenure of only 157 days. The final straw was a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.

Multiple credible sources confirm that Leicester has chosen Van Nistelrooy to replace Cooper. Van Nistelrooy previously impressed during a four-game stint as United’s interim manager, achieving three wins and one draw.

He is expected to make his managerial debut for Leicester in their midweek clash against West Ham United. (TNA)
