PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya

Tuesday, March 27, Wangjuntr – Stableford

On Tuesday we took the long drive to Wangjuntr Golfpark and played the Highland course.  It is always beautiful here with breathtaking views and normally the course is also in good condition, but this time we were disappointed.  There was long grass on the tee-boxes and on the fairways.

This course is not easy and the results show it but nevertheless we had an enjoyable day.  The winner on the day was Ian Waddell with 30 stableford points while in second was Jonathan Pratt with 28, beating Alex Everden on the count-back.

The near pins went to Ian Waddell (2), Dave Smith and Willem Lasonder.

Thursday, March 29, Pattaya C.C. – Stableford

Pattaya Country Club was our venue on Thursday and for one moment we were afraid of being in line for a wet day.  Just before our first group was due to tee off the rain poured down, but it was just a short heavy shower and thereafter it was dry for the rest of the day.  There were some wet spots on the fairways after the rain, but the course was in quite good condition.

We had good results today, but Andy Nesbitt was playing his last game before going home and wanted to leave a good impression.  He was the winner with a fine 42 points, two up on Jonathan Pratt in second with 40.  In third place came Willem Lasonder with 38 points and Martin Hayes took fourth with an even par 36.

The near pins were claimed by Jonathan Pratt and Stan Rees.
