A suicidal man first burnt down his house before writing a suicide note and hanging himself.

Firefighters responding to a house fire in Sattahip discovered its foreign owner hanging from a water tank outside.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was found wearing only shorts and hanging from a nylon rope with his hands cuffed behind his back on Sukhumvit Soi 13, about two kilometers from the highway.

Near him lay a mobile phone containing photos of him setting the house on fire and messages to a female friend saying he planned to kill himself. Police planned to contact the woman to identify the foreigner.

One of the man’s last acts was to write an angry message on the wall, apparently to his ex-wife: “This is Life. Are you happy now? You and your family have taken and stolen everything from me, including my daughter and my life! Now you have all exactly what you wanted!” He then named his mother and two children.
