A very short week due to the Songkran festival holiday period with just the one event.

The course at Crystal Bay as usual was in good shape with the fairways well-manicured and with the greens also getting back into good condition, the scoring was good enough to keep the CSS for the day at a level 72.
Terry Hodgkiss is really starting to benefit from his course of lessons as he took the top step of the podium after winning a count back over Bruce Kusyk, returning 12 from the last six to better Bruce’s 12 after they had tied the back nine on 18 apiece. Terry could look back on a good day when he put seven 3-pointers on the card and it surely cannot be too long before his handicap will be down to its lowest ever level.
Shuichi Kodaka claimed third place after rallying strongly over the inward half following a weak start to his round as he clocked up a couple of zeros, but a solid level handicap finish kept him one a head of Phil Cass in fourth.
Philip Voas took the bragging rights in the four-ball that was returning once again from the Hong Kong Sevens to go with his first time position on the podium in fifth spot.
There were no ‘2’s once again in the second division, but Bruce Kusyk made up for the disappointment in the count back with the sole one in the first division to clean out the rollover pot.

All transportation to the course is arranged and you do not need to sign up prior to the day, but you should be there by 8.15 on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on the days that you wish to play. If you would like to leave your golf clubs at The Haven, there are usually lockers available at a nominal charge.
