Tuesday, Jan. 2, Pattavia – Stableford
We had a good start in 2018 and on Tuesday we went to Pattavia where the course was in very good condition and we had good weather with a cool breeze.
As usual on this course, many of us had problems with the greens but we had a thrilling battle between Paddy Devereux and Willem Lasonder for the win. This time it was Willem who beat Paddy on the count-back and won with 35 stableford points. Third was Stan Rees with 33 points.
Two near pins went to Stan Rees.
Thursday, Jan. 4, The Emerald – Stableford
The Emerald was our venue for Thursday and the course was in very good condition. Today we also had some problems with the greens but that was an extra challenge.
Stephen Ford was the man of the day with a winning 40 points. Second was Willem Lasonder with 35 and third was Brett Gale with 32.
Willem Lasonder, Paddy Devereux, Jonathan Pratt and Stuart Banks shared the near pins.
