Golfers and caddies from Thailand and across Asia will compete in Pattaya this summer in contests sponsored by the East Coast Golf Courses Management Association.
EGA Thailand, in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Singha Corp., plan a five-month competition for new golfers in the form of the Singha-Amazing Thailand-Pattaya Golf Festival, which runs from May through October at 16 golf courses in the East to give beginning golfers a chance to develop their skills.
The competition takes place every first Saturday of the month at 16 golf clubs on the Eastern Seaboard. Entry fee is THB 1,200 up to 1,950 inclusive of green-fee, prizes, food and beverage. Winners of each round will have the chance to compete for a bonus trip to play golf at Santiburi Chiang Rai and Rancho Chanvee in Khao Yai.
Running concurrently will be the Singha-Amazing Thailand Caddie Championship. It’s open to female caddies only with 144 slots available at each round. The top players will later have the chance to compete against foreign caddies from China, Korea, Vietnam, Lao, Malaysia, and Japan in the International Singha-Amazing Thailand Caddie Championship.
