More than 100 women learned the value of teamwork at a seminar in Pattaya.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and top city officials welcomed members of the Pattaya Women’s Development Group to the April 27-28 workshop at the Diana Garden Resort.
Activities included various teamwork training courses. Suntorn Pumsuay and Tanree Jamratsri, experts in teamwork training, spoke on topics including “The Importance of Teamwork”, “Benefits of Working as a Team” and “Positive Thinking”.
Political leaders, teachers and participants gather for a group photo during the seminar.
Suntorn said there is a general consensus in research literature that a team consists of two or more individuals, who have specific roles, perform interdependent tasks, are adaptable, and share a common goal. To work effectively together, team members must possess specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes such as the skill of monitoring each other’s performance, knowledge their own and teammate’s task responsibilities, and a positive disposition toward working in a team.
Itthiphol said the project was a great way to develop women in society. It was also a great way to train people to learn about human rights and to educate them that men and women are equal.
