Students at the International School of Chonburi transformed themselves into book characters one day during their recent Book Week. Pinocchio was telling lies, Bob the Builder fixed the school, pirates ran amok, there was a cow jumping over the moon, a little pig was running away from the wolf, Dr de Soto was fixing teeth, Polly Pink Pajamas came to sleep and so many more.
It was a wonderfully colourful celebration of books at the end of a week filled with book activities. At 9:15 each morning everyone in the school dropped everything that they were doing and went into classrooms to read. There was a school wide extreme reading contest. Bruno read hanging upside down from a tree! Anastasia dressed up in winter clothes and read in the fridge!
Fairies, princesses, a witch and George with his marvelous medicine.
Book Week is a chance to extend the way we use and value books school wide and ISC students leaped, ran, flew, roared, danced and barked their way into it.
