PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Tourist Police officers assigned to Walking Street provided assistance to a Russian tourist who was visibly anxious and distressed while visiting the area, January 6.
After calmly coordinating and communicating with her to understand the situation, officers learned that she had recently argued with her 24-year-old son. Following the disagreement, the son left their accommodation and rented a room on his own in the Jomtien area, leaving the mother deeply worried about his safety and wellbeing.
Tourist Police officers took time to comfort and reassure her, helping to ease her anxiety. They also offered to assist by coordinating contact and mediating between the mother and son, with the aim of helping both parties communicate openly, resolve their misunderstanding, and reunite so they could continue their stay at the hotel together.
The Pattaya Tourist Police expressed their appreciation for being able to play a role in restoring calm and bringing a smile back to the tourist’s face. Officers said they hope the mother and son are able to reconcile, better understand one another, and enjoy a peaceful and safe time during their visit to Pattaya.
