Two men wanted in the shooting death of a man at a Third Road pub surrendered to police, saying the killing was accidental.

Thanawat Pornjit-udom, 20, and Pirapong Boonkor, 18, turned themselves in at Pattaya Police Station with their lawyer April 26. An arrest warrant had been issued for the pair for their role in the shooting of Prem-uthai Ransikham, 24, at the pub the day before.

Attorney Siripong Sa-adbut told police Pirapong became jealous after seeing his girlfriend talking to the victim. The two got into a fist fight, which she said Thanawat ended by firing three shots from a 9mm pistol into the air.

The bullets killed Siripong when they came down, she claimed.  Unfortunately for them, science has proven that this would be impossible.

Police said 10 witnesses had already reported their version of the shooting, but the victims were free to file their own account.
