
SYDNEY, Australia — Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his spouse arrived in Sydney at 10 p.m. local time on August 17, beginning their official visit to Australia from August 17–20 at the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The visit is aimed at turning the Thailand–Australia strategic partnership into concrete cooperation and strengthening collaboration across a broad range of areas. Anutin and his spouse were welcomed upon arrival by Michael John Daley MP, Attorney-General of New South Wales, representing the Governor of New South Wales, together with senior Australian federal and New South Wales protocol officials.
The official welcome ceremony for the Thai prime minister is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, at the Australian Government House. The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for Thailand and Australia to advance bilateral relations and pursue practical cooperation under their strategic partnership.
