PATTAYA, Thailand – Sudden heavy rain left parts of Pattaya struggling with floodwater on October 29, blocking traffic at the Moom Aroi junction on Pattaya Third Road and forcing municipal officers to assist motorists at several flood-prone locations.

At 2.56pm, Pattaya municipal officers reported that floodwater had made the Moom Aroi junction impassable to both small and large vehicles, with officers managing traffic and helping residents in the area. At 3.02pm, officers were also stationed near Mega Home on the inbound Sattahip side, where floodwater left traffic moving through only two right-hand lanes. Motorists were urged to proceed carefully.

Meanwhile, Naklua municipal officers assisted a motorcyclist whose motorcycle had been swept by floodwater along Pattaya-Naklua Road. Teams also monitored other flood-risk locations to help residents and maintain road safety. The flooding highlighted how quickly heavy rain can disrupt Pattaya’s roads, leaving motorists facing delays and difficult driving conditions.

Floodwater restricted traffic to two right-hand lanes near Mega Home Sukhumvit Road, where Pattaya officers guided motorists through the flooded stretch.
