PATTAYA, Thailand – A routine patrol turned into a late-night roadside rescue when Huai Yai police officers found a motorcyclist pushing a broken-down bike along Highway 331 on Tuesday night. At around 11 p.m. on August 5, officers from the Khao Mai Kaeo patrol unit in east Pattaya were conducting routine patrols when they spotted a member of the public pushing a motorcycle along the roadside of Highway 331 toward Bo Win. The officers stopped to check on the person and found that the motorcycle had broken down after the rider had gone out to buy something at a convenience store. The rider told police that the motorcycle would not start on the way home, leaving them unable to continue the journey.
The Khao Mai Kaeo patrol officers stepped in to help, transporting the rider and motorcycle safely back to their accommodation. Police said the incident was a small example of the wider role officers play in assisting residents, particularly at night when people stranded along a busy road can face additional risks. The Huai Yai Police Station said officers remain ready to assist members of the public who encounter difficulties while travelling.
