A father and daughter were injured when a ride-by motorcycle thief knocked them off their bike while snatching their gold necklace.
Yodsak Buarak, 56, and Chanidapa Antaphan, 14, received scrapes and bruises when the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a Nissan Almera during the Sept 8 robbery on Soi Bonkai in Sattahip.
A Sawangboriboon Thammasathan Sattahip Foundation rescue team sent the injured to Queen Sirikit Hospital for treatment.
Yodsak and Chanidapa could only tell police that the thief wore a yellow hat and was riding a scarlet Honda Fina. They weren’t able to get the tag number.
The perpetrator made off with a 5-baht gold necklace and 3 Buddha amulets with gold frames. Another Buddha amulet fell on the ground and was recovered at the scene.
The thief fled in the direction of the Khao Petch waste pond.
Police will study CCTV footage taken in the area to aid them in their investigation.
