Pattaya and the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources put up new signs to educate smokers where they can legally light up on Pattaya Beach.
City hall has stepped up its public-relations efforts, educating beach vendors on the rules and telling them to send smokers to designated areas. Next came the signs.
Nineteen signs were posted along Jomtien Beach and 10 on Pattaya Beach.
