
BANGKOK, Thailand – Her Majesty the Queen presented the trophy to the winner of the Queen’s Cup Thailand Championship 2026 at Riverdale Golf Club, Mueang Pathum Thani district, Pathum Thani province, on July 5, 2026. Upon arrival, Her Majesty was welcomed by Pathum Thani Governor Ekawit Meepian, Professional Golf Association of Thailand President Pongrat Luangthamrongcharoen, association executives, and members of the organizing committee.
Her Majesty proceeded to the royal pavilion near the 18th hole, where the Thailand PGA President delivered a formal report on the tournament’s objectives. After observing the final plays of the leading group, Her Majesty presented the royal trophy to 26-year-old Thai-Taiwanese golfer Ekpharit Wu, who won the championship with a score of 23-under-par. She also presented tournament flags to association representatives, course officials, and sponsors, and then led a photo session with the professional golfers and the organizing committee. After the awards ceremony, Her Majesty visited the All Thailand Golf Center to observe youth golfers practicing putting techniques. She then toured the High Performance Center to view technological applications used in Thai golf development. On the first floor, Her Majesty observed swing analysis sessions for female professional golfers and driving range practice for the national team. On the second floor, she observed biomechanical movement analysis for female professionals before departing.
The Queen’s Cup Thailand Championship 2026, held from July 2 to 5, featured 144 finalists competing in a 72-hole stroke play format, with a cut for the top 60 players after 36 holes. The tournament was organized to honor Their Majesties the King and Queen for their unwavering support and patronage of Thai sports. The royal trophy is a symbol of honor and achievement, motivating professional athletes, national team members, and youth to improve their skills. The Thailand PGA continues to advance Thai golf by preparing athletes for international platforms such as the Asian Tour, DP World Tour, PGA Tour, and the Olympic Games, while developing future professional talent.
