
PATTAYA, Thailand – Residents were left in shock after two youth gangs clashed violently on a street in Nongprue, Banglamung, reportedly throwing explosives at each other during the fight, 15 Sept.
The first altercation occurred around midnight on 15 September near Khao Talo Market, East Pattaya, when two groups of teenagers on dozens of motorcycles gathered along the roadside and engaged in a heated verbal argument. They initially dispersed without physical violence.
However, at approximately 02:00 hrs, both groups returned, armed and ready, leading to a violent street brawl captured on video by local residents. Multiple explosions were reported during the confrontation, frightening nearby residents. After the clash, both sides fled the scene. It remains unclear if anyone was injured, though locals reported widespread fear.
Police from Nongprue Police Station confirmed that while residents had called to report the incident, no formal complaints have been filed. Officers arriving on the scene found that both groups had already dispersed.
