BANGKOK, Thailand – Phuket Province is seeing strong tourist arrivals as Songkran celebrations coincide with major international events, especially “Phuket Bike Week 2026.” This event has attracted over 10,000 participants and is expected to generate at least 50 million Baht for the local economy.
“Phuket Bike Week 2026,” celebrating its 30th anniversary, runs from April 12-14, 2026, in Patong under the theme “Amazing Charity Ride Together.” The event unites big-bike enthusiasts from Thailand and abroad, including a caravan of over 100 motorcycles from Malaysia. This major gathering is a key economic driver and coincides with the traditional Thai New Year.
Besides the motorcycle events, several safe-play water zones have been set up across the island to accommodate visitors. Other locations include the SADD ROI LAO #EP2 event at Naka Market in Phuket Town, which offers a secure and organized space for water splashing through April 15. Major shopping centers have also allocated large areas for Songkran activities to ensure the safety and convenience of tourists.
The variety of events across the province has helped manage tourist flow and ensure that the festival’s economic benefits reach local communities. Overall, the atmosphere in Phuket remains festive, reinforcing its status as a top destination for domestic and international travelers during the holiday season. (NNT)
