Mayor Poramet Ngampichet warmly welcomes Mr. Zeng Zhanrong and the Qingdao delegation to Pattaya, strengthening sister-city ties and promoting collaboration in tourism, culture, and the economy.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Mayor Poramet Ngampichet of Pattaya warmly received Mr. Zeng Zhanrong, Secretary of the Communist Party of China in Qingdao, along with his delegation at Thappraya Room, Pattaya City Hall. The welcoming ceremony included Pattaya’s City Council Chairman, mayoral advisors, and key municipal officials.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in tourism, culture, and economic development between Pattaya and Qingdao, sister cities since 2013. With visa-free travel making Thailand–China trips more accessible, both sides emphasized boosting tourist exchanges and collaborative projects.



Discussions included promoting Pattaya as a “City of Film,” fostering educational partnerships, and strengthening cultural and tourism networks. Mayor Poramet highlighted Pattaya’s 24-hour tourist safety measures, including CCTV systems and public convenience initiatives, stressing the city’s commitment to sustainable, multi-dimensional cooperation in economy, tourism, culture, sports, and technology.

This visit, part of the Qingdao delegation’s Thailand tour from 22–24 September 2025, reinforces the long-standing relationship and shared vision for mutual growth and cultural exchange.
