Pattaya officials reviewed the budget for the city’s public schools, focusing on spending for overtime, services, travel, and teacher training.
Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon met with the education and city manager’s departments to divide the budget to accomplish the city’s goals.
Wattana said the budget will be spent to strengthen education for students at every level, including disabled and poor pupils, so they have knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and preparing for higher education and the working world.

Another objective is to adjust the support systems for education management, including standards, evaluation of courses and teaching, vocational development, environment, and learning.
Funds also will be spent to upgrade standards of teaching, school management and student development.
