PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya firefighters responded to a reptile rescue call on July 18 after a 1.5-meter non-venomous green snake was found hiding in a corner inside a resident’s property in Soi Sukhumvit 89/1. At 12:28 p.m., officers from Pattaya City Fire Station (Jomtien District), located at Wat Boon Soi 3, dispatched inspection vehicle 407 with personnel to the area after receiving a report of a snake inside a home.
Firefighters carefully approached and safely captured the reptile, which had been hiding in a corner of the residence. The snake was removed from the property without incident, and no injuries were reported during the operation. Officials reminded residents and business owners not to attempt catching unfamiliar snakes or other reptiles themselves, as improper handling can put both people and animals at risk. Wildlife encounters can occur unexpectedly in urban areas, and trained personnel have the proper equipment and experience to safely remove animals while reducing danger to the public.
