Chonburi Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai on March 26 closed the Pattaya Passport Application and Renewal Office at the Avenue Shopping Mall on Pattaya 2nd Road until further notice.

The governor also said he disapproves any movement by Chonburi officials from all departments and divisions, unless assigned by the governor, in order to strengthen the chain of command to best tackle the spread of COVID-19 in Chonburi.

Pakarathorn stressed that during this critical period, citizens should stay home, avoid any unnecessary traveling across their districts, and practice hygiene when it comes to food, both at home and outside.

The governor reassured citizens that shopping malls’ catering zones are allowed to remain open, but only for takeout.

Pharmacies, medical supply shops, supermarkets, and banks are permitted to stay open as usual. (PCPR)
