Pattaya opens 35-rai Chaiyapruek 2 public park for exercise and family activities

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City has completed a new public park covering more than 35 rai on Chaiyapruek 2 Road, opening the green space for residents to walk, run, exercise, play sports and spend time with their families.

Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and city executives visited the park on October 1 to inspect its readiness and officially open the facility for public use. The mayor joined residents for stretching, warm-up exercises and a run along the park’s routes before taking part in activities and speaking with people using the new space.



The park was lively but relaxed, with residents taking part in Tai Chi, Ngong Keck, football, aerobics, basketball and yoga. The facilities are intended to provide a convenient and safe place for people of all ages to exercise and relax.

Mayor Poramet said Pattaya City wants the park to become a shared community space where residents can exercise, relax and spend quality time with their families. He invited health-conscious residents to make regular use of the facility and enjoy walking and running in a safe environment.

Residents enjoy exercise and recreational activities at the newly opened park, including running, aerobics, basketball, football, yoga and traditional exercise groups.

The mayor also said Pattaya City would continue to maintain the park and keep it clean, orderly and safe for the public, including preventing the area from becoming a gathering place for homeless people and stray dogs.

After the run, Mayor Poramet joined residents for a cool-down and stretching session, posed for photographs and listened to comments about the park’s management, facilities and public needs.

The more than 35-rai Pattaya City Public Park is located on Soi Chaiyapruek 2 and is now open as a public recreational area for residents of all ages. Pattaya City said feedback from users would be used to improve the park and ensure it remains a clean, safe and well-maintained community space.
