PATTAYA, Thailand – Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, along with the city’s executive team and council members, joined a congratulatory ceremony for Narit Niramaiwong on his appointment as the new Governor of Chonburi Province. The event took place at the Chonburi Governor’s Residence, where officials presented a commemorative gift to mark the occasion. Narit officially assumed office on 1 October 2025.
A native of Chonburi, Narit completed his primary education at Wat Uthayan Natee and secondary education at Chonradsorn Amroong and Chonkanlayanukul schools. His deep local roots reflect a strong understanding of the province and its communities.
Narit has previously held key positions in Chonburi, including District Chief Officer of Phanat Nikhom, District Chief of Bang Lamung, Provincial Secretary, and Deputy Governor of Chonburi. He also served as Governor of Ranong and Samut Sakhon provinces before returning to serve his home province.
