An elderly man who hasn’t been able to walk for four years is mobile again thanks to a wheelchair donated by medical-rescue volunteers.

Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation members Warunee Sriuyaem, Prapan Chaikaew and Tonchai Rienpricha presented the wheelchair to 97-year-old Ying Kruhatapan at his Soi Tungklom-Tanman 6 home May 25.

The wheelchair is one of several the foundation has for people in need. The donation was made after volunteers learned of Ying’s long immobility and the fact he and his 72-year-old wife couldn’t afford to buy a chair for him.

The foundation has purchased several chairs and will be donating them to Pattaya-area residents in need.
