The Pattaya City Community Association hosted a seminar to get civilian networks ready to participate in the Eastern Economic Corridor project.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Vichien Pongpanit opened the May 25 event with association President Orawan Sukananwong at city hall.

Attendees heard an overview of the government development plan covering Chonburi, Chachoengsao and Rayong, educating them on the goals and giving them an understanding of the development planned for the industrial and tourism sectors.

The three provinces, speakers said, will serve as pilot projects for tourism development and the increase in industry will have an impact on people’s daily lives, including creating more opportunities for employment.

The increased focus on education, particularly vocational training, will be good for youths and transportation routes throughout the area will be improved, speakers added.
