Strong sunshine and hot temperatures are drawing crowds to Pattaya Beach over the Songkran weekend, with tourists cooling off in the sea and enjoying the sand despite storm warnings elsewhere in Thailand.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Hot weather and sunny skies are expected to continue in Pattaya through the weekend, creating ideal conditions for both Songkran revelers and beachgoers looking to enjoy the city’s coastline.

Despite recent weather warnings for summer storms in parts of Thailand, Pattaya has so far avoided major disruptions, with mostly clear skies, strong sunshine, and only a slight chance of isolated evening showers.

The warm conditions are expected to draw large crowds to Pattaya Beach, Central Beach stage events, and Wan Lai celebrations running through April 19.

Many tourists are expected to spend the day cooling off in the sea, relaxing under umbrellas, or joining the city’s ongoing water fights and beachside entertainment.

Local businesses, restaurants, bars, and beachfront vendors are also likely to benefit from the strong turnout as visitors continue extending their Songkran holidays into the weekend.

Officials are advising people to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take breaks from the heat, especially during the hottest part of the day.
